Inspired by Olafur Eliasson's "Riverbed" exhibit and the Sooke Potholes river, here in my town.
I had a lot of fun working on this project. It was made in 2 evenings just kit bashing assets together from Poliigon and Megascans.
The tree, Logs and dead grass were from Megascans. Almost everything else was from Poliigon. I may be biased, but the quality of our rocks on Poliigon are insane! Getting up really close is not a problem for these bad boys.
Everything you see was rendered in Blender and Cycles.
I've developed an obsession with these VFX mirror and matte balls. So I had to include a render with them. I love them so much, that I've even started an Instagram account called "VFXballs" where I post photos of VFX balls from various places I visit.
I hope you enjoy, and as always, feedback is much welcomed.
